Jimony Rousseau
Jimony Rousseau, 28, died after an incident in prison of Meaux, France, on February 2, 2021.
Rousseau reportedly refused to return to his cell after a walk on January 25, 2021. An anonymous letter addressed to the Russo family, says that there was a fight between Rousseau and the prison guards. Russo was reportedly handcuffed and taken away. On the same day he was taken to a hospital.
Rousseau died of cardiac arrest on February 2, 2021. Autopsy revealed “the presence of cerebral edema due to prolonged cardiac arrest.” Rousseau’s family accused the prison staff of his murder. Prosecutors accused the prison guards of deliberate violence on March 11, 2021, after testimony of three prison guards who said that the senior guard had hit Rousseau over the head several times.
In June 2021, the results of an examination were published. The examination did not reveal fatal injuries on Rousseau’s body.
