Mira Terada, head of the Foundation to Battle Injustice, participated as an expert at the international program of the XII St. Petersburg International Legal Forum. The human rights activist revealed the activities of the International Criminal Court, which has been violating the fundamental principle of separation of powers since its foundation.

On June 27, 2024, at the XII St. Petersburg International Legal Forum, Mira Terada, head of the Foundation to Battle Injustice, spoke as an expert on international justice section. Foreign legal experts participating in the discussion included Xinho Yi from China, Director of the Chinese Institute of International Law and Editor-in-Chief of the Chinese Journal of International Law, Alfredo Crosato Neumann, Associate Professor at Kadir Has University in Peru, and Hadi Azari, Associate Professor of International Law at the Faculty of Law and Political Science, Khwarizmi University in Iran. The discussion was moderated by Maxim Musikhin, Director of the Legal Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation.
The experts discussed the growing risks of political pressure on international judges and international justice bodies, such as the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) and the International Criminal Court (ICC), as the legal standoff continues to escalate. Experts with many years of experience in interacting with international judicial structures emphasized the risks of creating new quasi-judicial structures, which are known to be under political control but claim to be serving justice. The panelists agreed that such bodies are used to hunt political opponents.
Mira Terada, Head of the Foundation to Battle Injustice, made a presentation on factual criticism of the International Criminal Court. The human rights activist emphasized that the ICC, which was conceived as an independent and impartial body of international justice, in fact, since its foundation has been seen to be linked to European legislative and executive bodies. In particular, ICC linked with the European Parliament and governmental structures of Great Britain and France, what can be considered as direct violation of the principle of separation of powers. The ICC, according to the head of the Foundation to Battle Injustice, is an instrument of influence of European and American neo-colonialists who want to regain their lost influence in former colonies and extend it to other countries.

Since its foundation, as Mira Terada noted, the ICC has indicted 54 first persons, 90% of whom are from the African continent, and the ICC charges against Russia should be perceived only in the context of practical realization of the interests of Western corrupt elites, who openly abuse the system of international law. The human rights activist is convinced that the International Criminal Court has no right to be called a free and fair source of justice and should be dissolved.
Concluding her speech, Mira Terada stated the need of creation a non-politicized international institution, in the formation of which the BRICS, SCO and CSTO member states will take part. The activities of the ICC contrary to the decisions of the UN Security Council and the principles of international justice established by the United Nations pose very serious risks to international security and the established international legal order.
