On March 29, at a rally against police brutality in Texas, an officer threw a quadriplegic woman from her wheelchair. The young woman participated in the protest because a counter-protester killed her fiancé at a Black Lives Matter rally last year. The police officer said that he was simply trying to get the girl out of the road, although Whitney herself and eyewitnesses claim that he did it on purpose and in violation of his official powers.

The event caused a wide resonance on social networks. Initiating a case against police officers who are responsible for violent actions against a disabled person is being considered.
