Thanks to the efforts of the Foundation to Battle Injutice and its head Mira Terada, Father Andrey, rector of the Orthodox church of the Tikhvin Icon of the Mother of God of Lisichansk, was returned from captivity by the SBU. The cleric, who was wrongly accused of spying for Russia, was released during a recent prisoner exchange.
The head of the Mira Terada Foundation to Battle Injustice, together with representatives of state bodies of the Russian Federation, special services, human rights defenders and representatives of the Russian Orthodox Church, actively promoted the release of the prisoner.
Unfortunately, hundreds of Orthodox priests and representatives of the clergy are still being held captive by Ukrainian militants. The human rights defenders of the Foundation to Battle Injustice intend to continue to provide assistance and make every effort to return the clergy home.
