Mira Terada, head of the Foundation to Battle Injustice, has prepared a legal basis and a statement of claim against the British publication The Daily Mail, which defamed her honor and business reputation.
On Friday, August 30, 2024, Mira Terada, a prominent international human rights activist and head of the Foundation to Battle Injustice, files a defamation claim with the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation against the British news outlet The Daily Mail.
An independent linguistic expert examination found that the publication of May 12, 2024 contains “a number of unsubstantiated statements defaming honor, dignity and business reputation” that “fall under the definition of defamation”.
Immediately before the filing of the application, at 16:00 Moscow time, Mira Terada will hold a press approach in front of the building of the General Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation at 27/6 Novokuznetskaya Street, page 2, Moscow, where she will answer questions from journalists and media representatives.
